Something not working, or just want to tell us something? There's a real person at the other end of this.
We answer every message, usually within two working days. No ticket numbers, no bots.
Apple handles all billing, so cancelling happens there rather than inside TaxBack. If you cancel during a free trial you won't be charged, and you keep access until the trial ends.
The trial is Apple's standard introductory offer. You confirm the subscription at Apple's payment sheet, pay nothing for the trial period, and it converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before it ends. We show you a reminder before that happens.
Open TaxBack and tap Restore purchases on the subscription screen, signed in with the same Apple ID you originally used. Your subscription follows your Apple ID, not the device.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue them ourselves, but email us anyway if something went wrong. We'd like to know.
On your phone. TaxBack keeps everything you log in a local database on your device. It isn't uploaded to us, and there's no account server behind it in this version.
No, and it never will. You log what you want to log, by hand, on purpose. That's the whole idea: intentional noticing, not automated surveillance of your spending.
In the app: More → Export data to take a copy, and More → Account to wipe it. Deleting the app also removes the local database and everything in it.
Never your amounts. Circles share progress and encouragement, not numbers.
No. There are no streaks to break here, by design. Gaps are normal, TaxBack picks up where you left off, and nothing scolds you for it. Logging something today counts exactly as much as it would have last month.
No. TaxBack is an awareness and tracking tool built for how ADHD brains tend to work with money. It isn't medical advice, therapy, or financial advice, and it isn't a substitute for any of them.
